Service 400 is a trunk service serving Marina Bay and a vital link between Marina Bay MRT Station and Marina Barrage. It also connects Marina Barrage with Shenton Way. Although the Circle Line Extension and Downtown Line has connected to most of Marina South, Service 400 continues to receive demand by shuttling passengers from Tanjong Pagar, Marina Bay and Downtown MRT Station to Marina Barrage and Gardens by the Bay South.

During festive occasions like National Day and New Year’s Eve, Marina South is a popular area for fireworks viewing and celebrations, hence the increased demand.
