Bus Service CW4S is operated by Handal Indah, a bus operator based in Malaysia also known as Causeway Link.

The operating fashion of this bus service is unusual and complicated. It only operates in the mornings and evenings on Mondays to Saturdays and Singapore Public Holidays, while operating the entire day on Sundays. Some busses from Jurong East terminate at Gelang Patah. Bus Service CW4S also shares the route between Gelang Patah and Jurong with Bus Services CW3 and CW4.

The route provides links from Taman Ungku Tun Aminah (TUTA), Taman Sri Orkid, Lima Kedai, and Gelang Patah in Johor with Jurong in Singapore by crossing the border via Tuas. Bus Services CW3, CW4, and CW6 also cross the border via Tuas.

All CW-prefixed bus services serving Second Link are local bus services in Johor, thereby serving all bus stops along the route. It serves residents of apartments in TUTA, Taman Seri Orkid, Mutiara Rini, Mutiara Mas, and Nusa Perintis, but only in the direction from Sutera Mall towards Gelang Patah as busses serve an express sector towards Sutera Mall. These residents will have to transfer to Bus Service 666 at Gelang Patah Bus Terminal to reach their homes. Transfer details can be found in the ‘Fares’ section above.

At Second Link, passengers heading for Sutera Mall are advised to inform the bus drivers and timekeepers.

In Singapore, all CW-prefixed cross-border bus service calls only at the bus stop at Jurong is served as the bus skips all other bus stops along the route. In the occurrence of a traffic congestion at Tuas, journey and wait times will be increased.

On Weekday, Saturday, or Singapore Public Holiday mornings, Bus Service CW4S will only operate from Sutera Mall to Jurong.

Alternatively, passengers travelling between Jurong and Gelang Patah may board Bus Service CW3 or CW4. When travelling between Second Link and Sutera Mall, passengers may board Bus Service CW3S on weekdays and Bus Service SL1 on weekends, both of which, however, do not serve Gelang Patah. From TUTA to Gelang Patah, one can also take Bus Service 666.

When boarding at Sutera Mall, board at the bus terminal along Jalan Sutera Tanjung 8/1 near the junction with Jalan Sutera Danga before 6 a.m. and at the circus in front of the Sutera Mall main entrance after 6 a.m. At Tuas and Second Link, boarding points are clearly marked. Boarding at Jurong will take place at Berth 1 of Jurong East Bus Interchange.

At both checkpoints in Singapore and Malaysia near the border, passengers are required to alight from the bus to clear the customs before re-boarding. Between Tuas and Sultan, passengers may board any busses of the same operator — CW3, CW4, CW4S, or CW6 — after presenting their ticket to the bus captain.

Passengers heading toward places in Johor not served by this bus service may transfer to other bus services at Second Link.
